-There can be many rows for a single type, all of them will show information summarized by the same characteristic
-of an execution. Several row types can be applied on the execution information on top of each other to
-segregate the summarized information by characteristics described on each row.
-There are 9 row types in total: Global Total, Region, Executions, Office, Market, Currency, Trader, Symbols and
-Asset Class.
-LAYER is each of these rows (explained above) aggregated on top of each other. Each Layer shows the
-summary of information for the rows on that Layer segregated to display only information that matches the
-row one Layer above.
-**(A) UNDERSTANDING ROWS AND LAYERS**
-When using Summary with several Layers of Rows, each row can be expanded to display rows showing
-information from 1 Layer below. Executions will always be the last Layer on any summary view.
-**Layer 1: Layer 2: Execution…**
-The first Layer aggregates the information for all Executions that match that Layer’s row type. The second
-Layer aggregates all the information for all executions that match both the Layer 1 row above, and the
-characteristic of that Layer 2 Row’s type.
-For example, if looking at summary information on three Layers of rows:
-**For Trader: Symbols: Execution.**
-The first Layer will show 1 row per Trader. The second Layer will show all of the symbols traded by that
-trader, and the third Layer will show all the executions for a symbol by the trader. Each of the trader rows
-will show the aggregated information for all executions that match a particular trader. Each of the “Symbols”
-rows will show the aggregated information for all executions that match both the Trader id (from previous
-Layer) and the symbol from current row Layer.
-**(B) EXPANDING AND COLLAPSING**
-In order to display the information for several row Layers, Summary allows users to expand or collapse a row
-that has Layers below. When user loads summary it will display only the rows for the top Layer as default.
-The user can then expand the summary view in 2 different ways. For individual rows, the user can use the
-Expand/Collapse field. This field shows a “cross” next to each row that allows expansion. All rows except for
-Executions will have this icon. Executions don’t have the option to expand as no information can be expanded
-below executions.

-**(C) BUTTONS**
-Apply: Once the user has selected a set of layers to use for Summary, he’ll have to press the Apply button in
-order for summary to display changes. Once the Apply button is pressed, it will be grayed out.
-If one of the layer combo boxes or the Expand dropdown changes, PPro8 will un-gray the apply button again.
-The changes to these will be applied once Apply is pressed.
-**Cancel:** The Cancel button simply changes your filter selections back to the previous “applied” filter selection.
-**Flatten:** Summary allows users to launch the Auto Flat Tool from Summary in order to flatten selected rows.
-Users will be able to select one or more rows using the selection field (1).
-The user may select a heterogeneous group of rows to flatten.
-Restrictions
-In order to prevent large errors, Summary will only allow auto flat on the following 3 row types: Symbols,
-Office and Trader. These row types are the only ones with selection checkbox so that users can select them.

-**Refresh:** The Refresh button allows Summary to request all execution reports for a subset of Trader’s. When
-user presses the refresh key, the Summary Refresh window will be displayed.
-This window has 3 fields, Region, office and Trader ID.
-  * Region always shows all available regions.
-  * Office shows all offices for which the user has rights.
-  * Trader Id shows all trader Ids from the offices selected on the Office field.
-The user, can then select items on those 3 fields independently by clicking on the checkboxes or select them /

-**6.1 Summary Customization**
-Open the customization window by right-clicking on the black space area of the Summary. Note that you can

-**6.1a) DISPLAY Tab:** In this tab, you will find two main sections.

-(A) GENERAL SETTINGS: This is where user sets the currency used for display and Header’s Foreground and
-Background color plus text font.
-*Note: The default currency displayed in Summary window is USD and the user can select to change it in this
-customization window. However, other PPro 8 tools will only display in local currency specific to the market
-the trader is trading on.
-(B) LAYER SETTINGS: Depending on the TYPE of layer settings selected, both the Color settings and Column
-Settings will vary.
-**6.1b) SCOPE Tab:** This section allows a user to limit the Offices and trader id’s that are displayed on
-summary. This allows office managers to focus on only a subset of traders in a particular office, or an OPS
-user to focus on a particular office.
-When the scope is changed, Summary will rebuild using only OSTATS that match the selected Office and
-trader Id’s.
-The controls for setting the scope will function in a similar fashion to the Refresh tool. It’ll have a column for
-Office, and a column for trader ID’s. The office column will be populated with all offices that a user is entitled
-to see, and the trader id column will be populated with all traders from the selected office.
-By default all Offices and all Trader Id’s will be selected.
-Changes in the selection will be saved as part of the tool’s defaults.

-**6.1c) FILTERS Tab:** Items in this section vary depending on the ROW TYPE selected.

-% Allowed NL Realized: If filter off, displays all % of allowed NL realized. If filtered, displays the % set by such
-conditions.

-Trader State
-  * Active: Trader is active and able to trade.
-  * Disabled not flat: Trader is disabled. Trader cannot place any more orders yet has an open position.
-  * Disabled by user: Trader is disabled by Trader him/herself or by his/her Manager.
-  * Disabled by risk: Trader is disabled by Risk Team due to NL or LFT.
-  * Disabled by compliance: Trader is disabled by Compliance Team due to presence of an illegal trade or issue with such Trader. The disability lasts a period of time.
-  * Close orders by user: This occurs when Trader has reached the allowed NL, LFT or sent an illegal trade and has X:XX time to flat the position before the clock runs out.
-  * Close orders by risk: This occurs when Risk Team sets the Trader as “Close Orders by Risk Issue”. The
-  * Trader can flat his/her positions before the clock runs out.
-  * Close orders by compliance: This occurs when Compliance Team sets Trader as “Close Orders by Compliance Issue”. Trader can flat his/her positions.

-Current Size In: Number of shares the user has traded.
-Current Side: If marked, Summary will show values for Long, Short and Flat positions.
-**6.2 Exporting & Copying**
-By right-clicking on the black space area of the Summary, you will also find the Export option. Note that you
-can also open this option by pressing Ctrl+E.

-Allows user to export the current summary and save it into CSV files. One CSV file per summary layer. Each
-CSV file will contain all the columns displayed on a layer, plus a column for each layer above.
-Upon selecting this functionality, the user will be prompted with a window where the user will select the
-folder to save the exported summary files. Once the user selects a folder, the files will be saved, one file per
-layer. The information on the files will reflect the current view in summary.
-The name of the files will be set to:
-“Summary” + Layer name + Current date

-Lower levels will include the preceding levels in the file name.
