Trade Execution Summary
The SET has two principal methods of trading: Automatic Order Matching (AOM) and Put-Through transactions (PT).
Automatic Order Matching (AOM) has two methods, continuous order matching where orders are automatically matched using price/time priority and without human intervention, and call market matching which is utilized during opening and closing auction to set a single opening/closing price which maximize total volume of stock traded.
In Put Through (PT) Trading, brokers are allowed to advertise their buy or sell interest by announcing bid or offer price. Members may then deal directly with each other, either on behalf of their clients or for themselves. Prices may be adjusted during the negoatiation resulting in the actual execution price be different from the advertised price and may not follow the price spread rules. After concluding the negotiations, dealders must send details of the result(s) to the ASSET (Automated System for Stock Exchange of Thailand) system for recording purposes.

- We currently do not support Dark Order-types on SET
Available ATS
- There is currently no ATS in Thailand.
Basic Market Rules
- Lot Size - minimum lot size is 100 shares for most stocks. for stocks priced THB 500 or more for 6 consecuritive months, the minimum lot size is 50 shares.
- Tick Size - up to 2 THB 0.0001; up to 5 THB 0.0005; up to 10 THB 0.001; up to 25 THB 0.005; up to 100 THB 0.01; up to 200 THB 0.05; up to 400 THB 0.1; above 400 THB 0.5
- Short Sale Rules: Only stocks in SET50 Index are allowed to be sold short. Uptick rules apply. “Covered” short sale confirmation required.
- Circuit Breakers - If the index falls by 10% from the previous day's close, trading is suspended for 30 minutes. If the index falls by 20% from the previous day's close, trading is suspended for 60 minutes.

Auction Mechanisms
Open
The opening auction is randomized to occur between 9:55 and 10:00. The opening for the afternoon session is also randomized to occur between 14:25 and 14:30. Time to Submit LOO - 9:30 - 9:55 (14:30 for afternoon session)
Close
The closing auction is randomized to occur between 16:35 and 16:40. Orders may be sent in from 16:30 until the market closes. *TIP* Since the closing auction is blind, with prints starting randomly between 16:35 and 16:40, place your closing orders between 16:30 and 16:35:59 to make sure you don't miss the closing print.
